Plan and document four common CAP studies.
Use these guides to plan specimen collection, set acceptance limits, enter results in LabRuns and keep the records for inspection.
-
CAP COM.04250: instrument comparability
Run the same patient specimens on each instrument, check every difference against your limit, and keep a dated record of each comparison through the year.
-
CAP COM.30450: reagent lot verification
Run the same patient specimens on the old lot and the new one, check each difference against your limit, and keep the results with the lot numbers and shipment details.
-
CAP calibration verification
Run low, middle and high materials with independently assigned values or target ranges, check accuracy against your limits, and show that the materials cover the range you report.
-
CAP CHM.13550 and CHM.13600: linearity and AMR verification
Check that the response is a straight line, that results are accurate, and that your materials cover the analytical measurement range (AMR), with a separate outcome for each.
