Prepare a project report

A project report puts all of the project's studies into one document, grouped by analyte, with each study's own outcome.

Open the project, choose the Reports tab, then Open project report. The tab appears once the project has a study. Saved project reports are also listed on the Reports page in the menu.

The Project report selector offers Current report, built now from every study, and each saved version, Project report N · date, which stays as saved. The saved date names its time zone.

Choose Save project report to save a version. If the PDF can't be made, the version is still saved. Use Print, or download the PDF later.

A saved version offers Download PDF (Download color PDF with Color chosen), Print, Download original saved PDF and Download saved HTML. The current report can be printed. The report is black and white unless you choose Color.

The report shows:

  • A header with the project name, analyte count, laboratory name and the time it was made.
  • The study and sign-off counts, followed by the number of results in each outcome. The result count includes every study with current results, whether or not it is signed off.
  • 1 Study index: one line per study with analyte, study, type, result and review. Review reads Signed off once a study is signed off.
  • One section per analyte. For each study: who signed it off and when, or when it was calculated; counts; the acceptance table for each level or group; and the study's notes. A note shared by all groups prints once.
  • A Method: limits are decided on unrounded estimates.

After page 1, the header gives the project name and Project report. Footers give the laboratory and project name, generation time and page number.

State What the project report shows
Signed off The latest signed-off report
Signed off · results out of date That the data changed after sign-off, with no result until you recalculate
Calculated The results of the latest calculation, dated. A study recalculated after sign-off also notes that its signed report was signed on an earlier data version
Results out of date That the data changed after the last calculation
Not calculated That the study has no calculation yet

A study without acceptance limits shows Descriptive results; one whose limits all apply elsewhere shows No applicable criteria.

When a saved project report is out of date

Section titled “When a saved project report is out of date”

If a study gets a newer signed-off report, new data or a new calculation, if a study is added, or if the project details change, the page marks the saved project report as out of date and says what changed.

To bring it up to date, choose Save project report again, which saves the next version. Earlier versions stay in the selector.
